
Dr. Amanda Smith is a January 2020 graduate of St George’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine, in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Smith completed her clinical training at The Ohio State University and joined the exceptional team at Mountain View Animal Emergency shortly after graduating with her doctorate. While in veterinary school, she was an active member in emergency/critical care medicine, shelter medicine and pathology organizations and developed a love for the variety that emergency medicine presents. Dr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Salisbury University) and a Master of Science in Biology (Old Dominion University). She has worked in the veterinary field since 2008 and has experience in both companion animal and laboratory animal medicine, with special interests in emergency medicine, animal welfare and clinical pathology. Outside of work, Dr. Smith enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her family at the beach. She is also a feline enthusiast and has a tortoiseshell kitty, named Cocoa.
