Dr. Lindsay Vega graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She did a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD and quickly discovered how much she enjoyed emergency medicine. Dr. Vega was asked to stay on as an ER Veterinarian after finishing her internship where she continued to learn from board certified specialists in neurology, critical care, internal medicine, oncology and surgery. She left VRA in 2019 to practice emergency & general medicine at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital, in Morgantown, WV. Upon returning to her hometown in 2022, she joined the Mountain View Animal Emergency veterinary team. Her favorite aspect of working in emergency medicine is navigating the difficult emotions and situations each client/pet brings, figuring out what works best for every family and supporting their decisions. She lives with her husband, Andrew who is a sports journalist and also owns the marketing company, 81 Creative. Dr. Vega also shares her home with a beloved Pit-bull/American Bulldog/Staffordshire terrier mix, Daisy. She enjoys participating in dog transports (dogs taken from kill shelters to foster homes states away typically), loves checking out new coffee shops or bakeries, walking Daisy a few miles a day and spending time with her parents/grandma. She is a passionate anti-breed specific legislation advocate.
